3.5" sounds good. I think most aftermarket wheels you order will come with 3.75" unless you specify otherwise. 3.5" would let the tires stick out a little more.
My truck has a 4" lift with 35x12.50s and I have 3.75" backspacing. That's with a 15x10 though. The tires are pretty well tucked under the fenders. It would probably look cooler if the tires stuck out a little more.
Say Cornfield , I went with the same wheels and tires you did. Can you post a pic or 2 showing where the tires rub? Man , that's weird we both joined on the same month , both have the same taste in truck builds , but aleast I'm original for driving a GMC.
