wheel bearing difference between 1/2ton and 3/4ton??

at work (canadian tire) i was looking up wheel bearings for my truck, and i was getting them for my 1/2 ton axles as well as my 3/4ton front end. the computer has the same part numbers for both in and out bearings. now my buddy at work who has been buidling 4x4'sand swapping axles for like 25 years says that either the inner or outter bearing is a different size between the 2 front axles, but our computer says they are the same. so who is right? i need to know asap. thanks

the 72-76 chevy 1/2 tons had different berings the 77-87 1/2 and 3/4 tons had the same berings

Like was said, there is a first design up to 1976 then comes the second design 1977-1991 but the inner bearing is the only one that changed size. It has nothing to do with 1/2 or 3/4 ton.
