wheel bearings?!?!

anyone got some tips on fixin' a front wheel bearing on a chevy 10-bolt?
im trying to get this old beater running, all my friends go wheeling every night and they sure say there having fun.....:doah:

What kind of problem do you have? If the wheel bearing is damaged, it will have to be replaced. If it is just loose from improper installation, I'd repack it and retighten it making sure the locking washer with the pin is in good shape and installed properly. The locknut needs to be tighter than you might think. I like to use a torque wrench to be sure since I don't do it every day. I'm sure some people can do it by feel and get by just fine.
 
Get the proper axle nut socket, and torque / install per spec. Inspect bearings, if they are trashed, replace them. If its a beater, and they don't look too bad, grease and reinstall.
 
Make sure the big o-ring on the locking (or auto if so equipped) hubs is good. You can also install small o-rings on the six allen-head bolts to help keep water out.
 
easy thing to do
just takes a little time the first time you do it. be sure to pack the S***out of those bearings with grease
