Somewhere along the line when I was converting my 10 bolt front end to 8 lug I misplaced the security lug nut socket and now I can't get my tires off my blazer! Anyone know how to get the security lug nut off without the special lug nut? - Wes

Pound a cheap socket on them and remove with impact gun, hasn't failed me yet. :D

Wheel locks are basically useless other than slowing a thief down, if he wants your wheels consider them gone locks or not.

I did notice that a 12 point socket would almost fit. I went to the Gorilla lug nut sight and saw where I could order a replace key, however, I needed the serial number for my key. Unfortunately, I was give this set by a friend and did not get the serial number. Soo, out will come the big hammer and I will have to waste a socket. - Wes

Okay, a 6 point socket works better than a 12 point by the way. Unless your ride is a mall queen, I would definately recommend not getting wheel locks installed on your rig! I was lucky that I lost mine while my blazer was in the garage. - Wes

Good to know. Now I wonder how many crooks have this tool in their tool chest? The 6 point socket worked really well and it did not cost me $30. Just a ribbing from my wife saying "Who would steal those tires?".
