I just picked up a set of 19.5s for cheap. They came with a ring that goes over the hub under the lug nuts that give the lug nuts a dish to set in. The 16 inch Alcoas that I currently have on it has a seperate dish/washer for each individual lug nut. Is one better than the other? Does it matter since one wheel is aluminum and the other steel?

The plan is to get the wheels powdercoated and then I was going to use the individual lug nut washers instead of the rings.

I really have no idea but i'd be willing to say you would be better off using whatever came with the wheels.

The ring is the GM thing for duallies, and I've never seen it on anything else. I used them on mine 'cuz it's what they came with.

In your case, I'm with Scott -- use whatever came with the wheel.

the ring gives you the acorn seat.

and the lugs you have are flat washer style to make its one seat per say.

both mount on flat rim. and both use there own system.

with this and the fact gm now uses flat washer-nuts on the newer setups with out the ring and it all mounts to a flat rim. i would say if you want keep your lugs you currently use and use them with the new rims. and just for safty check them after the first 50 miles then 100 miles and if no movement good to go.
