Wheel offset

I am about to buy some new 15X10 rims and wanted to stay the closest to the factory offset, What is the factory offset?

Backspacing is about 3 1/2 inches for the '91 and older body style.

3 7/8 is factory. You can get away with 4" but you may have some problems with the tie-rods rubbing the balancing weights.
