Before I start.. rice burner forums are the ghey  All show and no go the lot of them..

Anyways, what I was hoping was some suggestions on wheel painting.. I want to paint my stock steelies black on my daily beater(Sentra). How should I go about it? I want them to look semi-decent.. decided not to buy wheels since I live way down a gravel road and no matter what I do they will always be dirty and chipped, and paints easy to touch up :D

I'm staying with the 13's.. it drives and handles good enough for me, and the way I'm burning the rubber up I need cheap tires :haha:

On a beater like that I would just mask the wheels carefully and spray away. you know scuff the surface and stuff, but thats about it.

That's what I'm thinking..

heck, looking at what I'm seeing Honda 13's(same pattern and offset) going for on craigslist.. I think I'll snag a set of those and have my new rubber mounted on them after a spray job :haha:

I'm gonna put a header and a thrush turbo 2" muffler on it.. not hearing my exhaust is driving me nuts but avoiding the fart pipe is priority :wink1:

I think you should paint the wheels and go in ths direction with it ;)

:haha: :D apparently this was for sale in Utah, the add read.....

This auction is for a 1983 2 door Datsun Sentra with a custom body kit and spoiler made of wood. It started out with the spoiler and then I just had to make the rest. This car gets more attention than any Ferrari and is pretty famous around here."

they make actual wheel paint. it holds up very well to chips and scuffs and the like.

It is made by duplicolor.
Duplicolor High Performance Wheel Paint

HWP100 White
HWP101 Silver
HWP102 Graphite
HWP103 Clear
HWP104 Flat Black
HWP105 Bronze
It is like 6 bucks a can but well worth it.

here is a pic of my Old 510 with wheels that were sprayed with the white. been looking good for more than a year now.

i can't tell you how much i love this. jonathon, if don't do this to your car then I'll defriend you on facebook. :haha:  :D

You can put playing cards between the tire and wheel for masking

you could also stick them in the spokes so they make cool noises as the wheels turn! :D

if you need to get them back on quick you can throw them in the oven. helps dry the paint and all
