OK, I have a set of 35x15x15 SSR's that are going to be going on my K5 this Spring. I need a set of wheels for them. After these tires wear out I will probably be going to something in the 35x12.50 range. I will most likely be buying some weld-on beadlock rings for whatever wheels I get. I have been looking for a set of 15x10 wheels, and have found a set of 15x8's from a fellow member for a good price.
Should I get them, or hold out for some 15x10's? Will my tires crown rediculously with the narrower wheels?
Thanks.

I would run 15x10's on that wide of tire, but i wouldnt want to run 15x10's on a 12.50 if you like to air down a lot. 15x8's would work best for the 12.50" wide tires, but the 15x10's will save you from having to buy wheels twice and will probably give you a little more life out of those 15.5 wide tires.

I have had probs in the past running a 15'' tire on an 8'' rim. The extra 2'' makes a big difference when it comes to holding a bead. For the sake of ride comfort, I like to have a couple of inches of total "overhang", but 7'' puts a lot of angular stress on the tire.

15 x 8's then weld the rings on would make them perfect.
I ran my 12.5's on 15 x 7's /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif with no probs and not even wearing funny. The wagon has 14.5's on a 9.75 rim with a beadlock. Besides the rims you are ooking at our my old ones, so you NEED them, LOL /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Is there another new SSR size that is 35x15? I shure hope so because I will order up a set for sure. Last I checked there was a 35x14.50 SSR.

my 15 x 7's were 6 lugs off my Jimmy. the 15's you are looking at were 8 lugs I got that Jeff then bought from me. If you get those then add a weld on beadlock it will put you at 15 x 9" or just over that.

Wasn't it Shaggy who was running his 14.5's on a 8 wide before he got is Hummer rims.?????
