i went to put my h1s on the back of my truck today and the spacers i bought (used) came with lug luts on all the studs....now my question is the lug nuts on the spacers are super small and look like they would be for bolting the spacer to the hub but the lug nuts that came with it dont work on my 14bolt studs nor do my lug nuts on the spacer studs  any one elce had this problem??here is a pic with the spacers in the background

i bet you got a metric set. 14x1.50 .

you have old 9/16 right?

if so you are kind of stuck in a hard place. how did thay list them for sale?

they are for a later model, when they went to metric studs, same bolt pattern, you could try and knock the studs out and find some that'll work.

So you're not able to bolt them onto your axle using stock open ended 9/16" nuts? If the hole in the spacer is tight, try using a chrome socket instead of a thicker impact type.

They don't use regular nuts. The spacers are designed with the taper for lug nuts....at least mine are.
Run down to the auto parts store and get the right nuts and then bolt the spacers on.

Sorry that's what I meant, OE openeded lug nuts. ( duh, you're supposed to know what I'm thinking :D ). Mine, like yours Brian, use regular lug nuts.

thats what imthinking about doing..i tried to fit my regular lug nuts (inch and 1/16) and they didnt even fit in the hole to bolt it to the hub

Try some different nuts, the ones I have came off of my old crew cab and are 7/8" hex.

I went to an auto parts store and all they had was the chrome lug nuts, if you need stockers try a wrecking yard or the nuts and bolt section of your local hardware store. Most of them will have lug nuts, they probably won't have 16 but enough to get them on for now

so i got a 7/8 nut and it fit inside of the spacer but NO socket that was 7/8 would fit in the holes....im really at a loss with this one here are some pics it might help...how can something so simple be such a pita

im also wondering if i have to run a "acorn" style lug nut with the spacers becuase if i dont then i might be able to make something work

You'll have to run a tapered seat nut, the bottom of the hole in the spacer is tapered. A regular nut would have problems backing off.

I'll take some pics of mine today, I'll also measure the dia of the hole on my spacers. Depending on how much you have in them (vs what you're will to spend), maybe you could have the holes bored open just a little to allow a socket. I dont think I've ever seen a 9/16" nut with a hex smaller than 7/8".

I've put a few of those on Jay. You're right not all sockets will fit them but I always seem to find a thin wall that works. Its tight but works.
