Would some of the members please let me know where I can purchase 4-5" steel wheel spacers for 8 on 6.5 Thanks guys!

4-5" is a HUGE spacer. What are you trying to run, h1's? Not sure exactly what the width ends up being, but I would suggest running dually axles as a safer alternative to spacers that size. Dually 1 ton axles tend to be cheaper and "less desirable" anyways, so it should be easy to find a set.

Yup, h1s... Dually hubs front, spacers rear... I don't have a prob w them... Just looking for a source for steel spacers or dually adaptors... I know they exist, can't seem to locate a set, hence the thread... Thanks, I appreciate the concern...

I saw 4 wheel parts had dually spacers, they didn't list specifications though, you'd probably have to call them. Am I understanding correctly that you want to run dually H1s?

Thanks, I'll check it out! Nope not runnin dually h1's,single wheels..

Well, you're probably correct on that one, but the longest spacers I've ever seen are 3.25". Try Southwest Wheel; I know they carry spacers.
Also I seem to remember a guy on Pirate was making them.

Alright thanx, I'll check um out... I found a guy who would make up but he said he'd have to make a 3" and a 1" and bolt um together w 5/8" studs... 400/per for the 3" and 200+/per for the 1"... wtf...:waytogo:ok dude whatever...I'll keep looking till I find something reasonable....I appreciate the feedback.!

I imagine you are sure 2" isn't enough... Regardless, for the price that guy is asking you could buy two pairs of spacers off of Ebay and stack them together... I think I paid close to $200 for all four of mine shipped.

Stacking spacers sounds like a bad idea, but maybe ok with quality parts. Stacking cheap ebay spacers sounds like a death wish.

I agree with the first part, but I'm not sure what the difference would be from one set of aluminum spacers to the next, purchased on Ebay or not...I wouldn't stack spacers. But I'm not sure why you need 4" spacers to run H1s anyway.

I'm def not gunna stack um...I didn't see any steel spacers on eBay...

the need to run spacers comes from living on an island and not having any rear ends besides my 67.5"er that I'm trying to match w the 77" front I will assemble when all the parts come together...4" is actually less than I need but close...

hmm why are you set on the hummer wheels? For the bead lock or because of the cheap wheel /tire combo?

Other options for the rear would be to have 2 of the hummer rims recentered and shipped to you, hundred dollar man on pirate is very afforable

or retube your 14 bolt and have shafts from something "dana 70?" shipped to you.

do you have a 70 or a 14?? You could also swap shafts/hubs in one way or another to play with things.

or 2 inch spacers in the rear and front with srw dana 60 hubs you could swap to

3 inch is max i would go and that would only be on a dually app. I have and do at times run my 42 inch iroks on hummer wheels and 2 inch spacers on my 07.. zero issues and I have jumped it to the moon with them.

Well, yeah $130 a pop from a guy in WI or I can go with trailready for $150 so yes its cheep, I want 37's so thats cool and I want hummer beadlocks because thats the look I want..So, recentered wheels "don't" look like hummer rims, they look like a custom beadlock...

I have a 14B 67.5", I'm not gunna retube it, I dont have the accessability to machine anything nor the $$$. Hubcentric steel spacers are the way to go, no psi on the lugs and marginally more psi on the outter berrings, there is a guy on pirate who has been running 4.5"ers on his 14b w 37" for years, no problems..

DRW 60 front hubs and 4-5" spacers on the rear keep me maybe 1/2" outside the fenders w the 37".. I'm def using the DRW front hubs therefor I want the rear to be as close as possible so it dosent look like a reverse 3wheeler....I appreciate the help but what I really want out of this thread is a source for the spacers. I've made up my mind I'm going that route... http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=915845

OK ...

why not just run 2" spacers all the way around and forget putting on your drw spacers all together and avoid the hassle ? For less than the cost of just the single set of 4 inch spacers you could be done with it and not have to dick around with the front hubs at all while ending up with a factory difference between the front and rear track width.

I have run h1 on both my drw axle with no spacers and a srw with spacers.. not enough difference with where the tire sticks out to make it a concern or worth the hassle "my opinion"

but... if you are set on it, contact chassis tech in mesa az. My buddy aaron works there and just machined himself a set of 3 inch hub centric spacers when we put h1 tires on his dually and he needed more room between the tires.

Well, I guess i'd consider that, I'd really like to see pics of a truck w 2" spacers and h1's though... Do you have that white dually w the h1's on the front? I think I saw a pic of your Avitar truck on a trailer behind one? The front end of that truck looks perfect, wheel spacing is right on.. Thats really how I want mine. Correct me if im wrong but that is a dually front end, right? If I did 2" spacers on my 60 that would only get me 74" and keep the rubber to far inside the fenders..I'm thinkin that would look kinda weird..Unless you have a pic? Did your buddy make his spacers outta steel? I dont want to put aluminum spacers in the front or steel for that matter, I'm actually way more inclined to run drw front hubs than spacers in the front but I can be persuaded if someone has been running a set in the front on a DD that sees occational wheeling?

I'll give him a shout for the hell of it! I appreciate your help! I'm all about savin some cash...

On my buddies dually he has stock drw hubs and factory h1 rims. It does put it in my opinion very close to where normal truck on 37's and srw and regual rims would end up. I am going there tonight and will try to get a track width measurement for you.

As for 2 inch spacers or a srw.. up front.. mine are cheap aluminum ones. I have jumped the truck with both my 1.5 and 2" spacers so many times with them and zero issues.. Trashed a 60, the frame, 7 transmissions, bent wheels, motor mounts, trans mounts, drivelines, ... no issues with the spacers:thumb:

here are a few pics,

silver h1 rims have 2" wheel spacers all the way around front and rear with 42 inch iroks

the black wheels have no spacer in the rear and a 1.5" spacer up front with 41 inch iroks.

to me the h1 rims with 2" spacers is a better looking set up.

here is a pic of aarons

you should be able to sell those drw hubs for darn near what the spacers would cost you if you decided to run them.
