Wheel to caliper clearance problem

I recently converted my 70 k5 4wd to discs and now the stock 15" steel 6 lug wheels won't clear. I would really like to keep the stock 70 wheel look because I like the aluminum hub caps. Any thoughts? I have heard of people grinding on the calipers, but there is no way it would help in my case. Thanks, Jos

are you sure you put it together correct.iirc you were using a stock 72 front axle to convert it.a stock 15 inch wheel should have no problem clearing that caliper by at least a 1/8th of an inch.id double check that you have it together right and take a pic if you can.
