I've noticed a number of Jeeps lately tht seem to have increased the distance between wheels (ie wider track). I can see how this would provide a lot more stability.

Any way to widen the rear track on a K5?

Use a rear axle out of a van or buy spacers. If you want to spend a ton of $$ you can get a custom made axle.
