wheel width

Will a wheel with 4" back spacing and -16 mm offset work? Found out that the original h1 wheels are 8.25 so that takes care of the width

Not using h1 wheels. Was wondering if the back spacing on the wheels I'm wanting to get would work

4-4.50 is the normal for 8lug stuff with 16 or 16.5

8.25 = sucked in a bit side walls with the 37 hummer tires.

9.75 = about flush up/down side walls with the 37 hummer tires.

good rule for looks and basic use 2" less width than tire width .

Thanks I guess I'll go with the 9.75" wide ones then

I agree with what sweetk30 said for rule of thumb being 2" narrower wheel than tire width.

While we're on the topic of wheel width to tire width, does anyone know any wheel places that can fab up a set of 9.75" wide dually wheels for my military MT oz tires?

I want them wide so they look appropriate but Stockton isn't showing anything on their website for anything dually related. I just want some simple 9.75 x 16.5 dually wheel. How difficult can that be?

ask kirt he made some for his shop truck

I saw his pictures. Don't like the spacers he put between them. Cutting the wheel in half and welding in spacers is not what I want to do. I'd rather have true 9.75" wide wheels than 3 pieces of round steel plus the center.
