Well i have been searching for about an hour or so. The main goal of this is to gain wheelbase on my k5. I want to do the 52" swap in the front which will net me 2.5" and then a zero rate to move it forward another 1.5" So that is 4" total forward. So far the steering box/pitman arm should be ok at that forward movement right?
As for the rear if i get a set of 56" springs and put my diy4x shackle flips on the opposite sides as they are now and put the 30" side of the springs in the rear it will gain me 4" wheelbase? As well as a zero rate rear for 1.5" another 5.5" wheelbase gain? My gas tank should be ok i believe.
Right now my truck has a diy4x shackle flip rear, longer shackle, zero rate and stock spring, then 6" spring front w/ a cut down overload bolted in too.
Do any of these numbers seem right for the wheelbase gain i would be getting? Thanks! Mike
