Where are ya'll at with your wheelbase on your gen 1 K5s? I am streched out to 108.5" now after swaping srings, rear end, and spring perches. Used Ruff Stuff perches in the forward 1" hole then put my 56s in backward so I am effectively 3" back from stock on the rear now then figure the nature of the shackle flip I figure I am about 2.5" or so back from stock. Few pics and finally a side profile shot for ya

I'm still at stock length.

I might add a total of 2" in the future.

But one thing at a time :D !

BTW, I like your foot landing on the side of your rig! Where'd you get?

It was on it when I got the rig but I have been told its off the same vintage pickups.

I was just saying the other day, "I gotta move my rear axle"

Don't know my wheelbase right now but it's going to grow a little longer pretty soon.

At a minimum, I plan on removing the rear overload springs and install a set of zero rates for the 1" off set they will give.

VT: Thats about the way mine looked. Am about to drop $900 on a rear shaft and yoke/flange etc so wanted to make sure its where I want it for the driveshaft length.

Yukon: Thanks, I still need to round out the corner on the rear-rear fenders like the front-front fender

looks awesome!! yeah the mt/r and swamper thing is kinda cool too! im diggin that step, its sweet!!

107"

1" forward up front
2" backwards in rear

Moved the axle back 1.5"s and now I'm @ 106" total.

By removing my rear overloads, I'm hoping for better flex... :dunno:
