Wheeled the White Knight today!!

I was trying to show Kyle that sign. I made it up but forgot to get an image. It was pretty cool seeing that sign!

I forgot about Bone Crusher. It took me a couple hours to find Lions Back anyways, I have no idea where Bone Crusher is. Pain in the ass to find stuff on that map. Also played that Boulder map a bit more last night, It kinda grew on me. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

First time I saw that sign I went backwards off the bridge and looked back and saw it, that was about 2 seconds before I slipped off the edge and wasted the peanut /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

BTW, which map is the Boulder one you folks keep talking of?

It's called Boulder Stream, you can get it at www.insaneheat.com. There are two versions that are similar, but the one called HARDCORE is, well, hardcore. Joe and I got our Peanuts hopelessly stuck more than once (it sounds pornographic, but it isn't /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif), and that's the only map that I've managed to do that on. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif It's not as varied as the IRC map, but it is definately a 100% crawling map.

Got it. I'll give it a try.

I think BrannonC is hosting a game, gonna go see what that's all about /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Shaggy, I downloaded winzip but it still just says invalid compresed folder or somthin like that. Do i have to open winzip or somthin? What does winzip do that is supposed to help? its drivin me nuts havin the peanut, white knight, k5, and the maps and i cant use them /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif I gotta get it figyred out /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

WooHoo! Did the Gate Hunt on IRC. Almost smashed my monitor in frustration on the 1st gate...1.5 hours it took. Good Shiit. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Here's a couple pics of the Peanut flexin on the Boulder map-

I don't know if this will help, but I use WinRAR as apposed to WinZIP. They are both ZIP untilites that acheive the same thing. Might want to give WinRAR a try.

When you download the cars and maps, they come compressed into a "ZIP" file. A ZIP file kinda mashes the 2-3 files of the car/map, into one for downloading. You need WinZIP or WinRAR to extract the individual files from the ZIP file. From there you can install them in thier respective directories in the Insane/Data folder.

I'd delete thoise files and download them agian, it sounds like they may have been corrupted for some reason. I got some files that I couldn't open awhile back too, I thought that I got them all opened eventually, but I'm not so sure now that I think about it...

On another note, there are 2 new crawlers that were released in beta on the 7th. One is the "Slinky" Jeep that works pretty well, the other is the Crustacean, that Sami from a couple years ago with dual 33" boggers front and rear. The Slinky works pretty good but is rough since it's on beta 1, the Crustacean is on beta 4 but is hopelessly underpowered. Both have 4 wheel steering, which is kinda cool.

The four wheel steer is cool, but takes some getting used to. You're right on the sami, way too little power to be any fun. Took me forever to finally snap the canoe off the Jeep, I think it will be a contender, but not in beta 1, not near enough traction. I guess the peanut spoiled me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW, got insane trek backwards finally, there is a little climb that makes you have to do a left to right switchback at either the right time, or it's endo time. Must have busted the wheels off the peanut 20 times before I got through that one.

Never knew the backwards trail could be as fun /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I found another little something I'm off to explore now /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Kyle,

Why dont you bring your non-wheelin @$$ to Fulton this weekend? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I'm a hardcore pavement wheeler. I even occasionaly hit a dirt road /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Until I've got something else to drive everyday, I doubt I get to wheel much at all. Baby on the way is really slowing down how much time I'm gonna be able to spend putting the Blazer back together before I have to drive it to work in the AM /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW, I AM a computer wheelin' 4wd BADA$$ though!!! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

What about that Heep I saw you pull away in. You could bring it to beat on!

I can't get IRC to work at all I have gotten everything else to work I want to try the ramps and some of the cool trails. Are trails named on the boulder one to I got it lastnight.

LOL are you trying to get me divorced or what? That's the wifes, I get to borrow it every now and then but I SURE don't get to wheel it! I was going to head to Disney to hitch a ride with some folks and was going to take the Jeep, she knows better and knew that I would be wheeling it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think there is an extra file that you need to get and place for the IRC map. Look at the readme.txt file that comes in the .zip file. That may be what's giving you grief.

Sweet got the trucks to play /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Thanks for the Tips But howcome when im at the insane websight, and click on a map to download it goes to a screen that says download but the real download screen(the one with the progress bars) never shows up? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif
