Does anyone that lives in New Jersey have any good wheeling spots. If not close to New Jersey other then Pine Barrens.

rausch creek in tremont pa. it's pretty much the best place in the NE since paragon got shut down.

it's about 2.5 hours from you. unless you have private property you're allowed to wheel on, there's nothing available in nj. you're allowed to ride in the pines. maps are available at the ranger stations on rt. 72 and rt. 206 by atsion lake. you're not supposed to ride through water or rut out any trails though. it depends on which ranger catches you if it's legal or not. the state still hasn't allocated any public lands specifically for wheeling. legislation was passed about 20 years ago, but tree huggers and the dep have squashed every effort.

new egypt speedway is starting some hill-n-hole races this year.

if you do find or get invited to a "spot", especially if it's private property, keep it to yourself. because of the scarcity of places, locals tend to be pretty aggressive when it comes to keeping strangers out. there's no quicker way to get banned from a place than to have it found you were discussing it on an open public forum.

yeah i been going to the pines for along time. Just want something new. My bro and i been to rausch creek a few times, very long drive. Especially in front wheel drive lol. As for private property im not about that ,been put in cuffs for that. not knowing it was an illegal spot.

it helps if you know the owner of the property or else you're trespassing. ;)

lol

there's a couple farms in the pines area that most of the guys around there use. they're the only 2 spots left where the tractor tired trucks can go. but they've been having problems too. too many friends of friends of friends showing up causing problems. guys don't understand that just because you get invited once doesn't mean you have an open invitation or that you can bring friends. plus there have been a few developments creeping in to the area and they occasionally complain about the noise.

best advice is to befriend a farmer who's got some unused land. offer to help out around the farm once in a while if he lets you wheel.
