finally got pics from my buddy - he did the truck pics this time while my lady did the pretty pics. we went up outside of washougal, washington (about 30 min from portland - not far east of vancouver.

yeah, we really had a killer time. another buddy of mine drove the ford - we were the only 2 fullsize rigs out there... infact, i think we're the only 2 fullsize rigs in the northwest that actually wheels... anyway, the doggy is his.

the cup came free from the ball on his tie rod end - so he held his front end together with one of those rubber tire-chain tighteners. funny stuff...

Wow, I've never heard of that failure (maintenence?) and I can't believe that repair worked!

well, i wouldn't say it worked - but it got him off the trail. every so often he would come to a quick halt because it would SERIOUSLY toe in when the ball would pop out again. i think he woulda been in a lot more trouble if we were doing anything but snow because it would have been real hard to articulate the suspension and keep it all together. it's got that wierd twin beam front end... or whatever it's called - the only thing worse than IFS.
