So Readymix, SSPED, and Myself met at Wildomar this morning for some wheelin and SSPED brought his friend in the all black H1:D. Wildomar is not really challenging but it can be if you make it not much rock but lots of ruts and off camber type trails. All in all was a good day. I really like running a welded front I did not have my hydro yet but I found if you blip the throttle with the wheels turned the front end will come right around:D. Carnage for the day was 1 Passenger front fender and a front driveshaft and possibly my Dana 60 yoke:o. Now for pics.

This is the outcome. From what we can tell by the pieces I was able to find is I stretched an ear and spit a cap then the joint just got ****ed and took out the end of the shaft.

I learned today that a 1310 shaft does not like a welded dana 60 with 37s when the wheels get traction:D.

More Pix of the carnage. I am Sitting here talking to the waif about our day.

Really good time today. The park really is tame but Ira sure found a way to brake somthin. there was so much dirt flying that at 1st you couldnt tell what had happened. George and his dad were impressed with the Humma they are now talking about keeping it. I stopped by the shop later this afternoon and I guess he was there allready trying to get off some of the scratches.

And here is the fender.

This pic is from under the truck through the wheel well as I dont run inners.

Nah I am not making the stop at 40s I am going straight to fodeetooos:D. Gotta put my 56s in front to get a little firewall clearance.

I cant really complain this is the first real carnage I have had since I started wheelin this thing. Of course it has only been out twice since the lift and 1 tons:D.

Both I plan on 5.13s unless I find a Dana 70 for the rear and a doubler. still undecided on tranny. I wanna go NV4500 but a built 700R4 is cheaper but it is still only 1/2 the ratio in first:(. This will eventually become trail only so I am not too worried about road worthiness with respect to tires and gear combo. I will eventually put a detroit in the front and run slugs but welding was free I traded a set of 14FF spiders and sides for a set of 60 spiders and sides and welded them up. They are removable and I have a spare set if I need to take them out for some reason.

Its only money and ya can't take it with ya;).

agreed, thats why im puttin a 4L80E/doubler in mine:p:

money cant buy you happiness, but it sure can buy you fun:haha:

I told the wife I broke my front driveshaft and showed her the pics. She says how did you get home? Dont you need that to hold the tire on the truck:doah:. God I love that woman:D. Doesnt give a **** aboot the fender but asked how much is a new driveshaft gonna cost me. Readymix and I were "discussing" I have full coverage on my K5 I wonder if I could claim my driveshaft and fender:thinking::D.

sounds like a good excuse for a 1410 HAD shaft and yoke;)

I am not gonna buy one of those until my driveline lengths are finalized. I am not puttin a $600 shaft infront of a 208:D.

Ira

i know what you mean...you should see the angles of my shafts on my 208 :haha:

Looks like you guys had a good time, maybe one day we'll all figure out how to meet in the middle?

Hey SSped....I don't feel so bad for breaking up there now...Even though mine was due to poor prep... :doah:

I've been back in Colorado for almost 2 months and I still haven't been in the rocks! You believe that? Oh well. Some of my buddies are planning a run up Left hanh Canyon, and we are gonna run the Carnage trail there too!! Should be fun. Wish you were out here. I keep telling my buddies about that "Baja" style suspension rake you run, and they want to see how well it does in reverse.

Oh well, looks like you had some fun with out me. Here's a pic for memory's sake....
