here's a few pics of our trip. it was my first trip out. i kinda got thrown in head first by our fearless leader, chopped&bobbed77burb. :D the first gen rig belongs to ck5 user "crawford". can someone tell me how to resize these photos?

so here's all three of the rigs with mt. hood right above my rig.

this is where i learned of my need for a locker.

i had to be towed over one portion of this terrain for lack of that locker.

some poser/flex shots

we got up into some snow aswell. strangely, where bruce is stuck here, i couldn't seem to get my rig stuck no matter how hard i tried.

Oh man, that really makes me want to go wheeling. Looks like you guys have some nice rigs. Is that Hood I see back there? Kinda hard to tell from the pic.

Could the reason you didnt get stuck be that brent was plowing everything out of the way for you?? haha

i don't know, it's wierd to me tho, b/c his truck is much more built than mine. i got up as far as he did and then further, i would stop and not be able to go further, then back up and plow thru the snow bank again and get farther. never had to be towed out of the snow. it was wierd. the only think i can think of is maybe the tires? i've got mt/r's, and he's got a more mud-inclined tire. i was kind of suffering in the mud parts of the terrain, but did really well on the trails and snow - i think it's due to the tires.

yes, that's mt hood out back. :D

The first pic is the best with the chicks and the dog hanging out of the windows. Brings a tear to my eye! Seriously, that's way cool. Wish I was part of that one.

Colby,
I'll be making a shake down run with my rig in a couple weeks up in that area. Maybe we can get a local group together to go play? I'm sure I'll need Crawford there to yank me out of a few places as I don't have a winch just yet. :wink1:

It's because I got wide 42" swampers and my rig is almost 7000lbs and it's locked in the rear . He's open front and rear and has skinny tires so he was able to go up alittle further than me , But yes he was using my tracks . The snow was really wet and it had a good base on the bottom that was like driving on ice . If you look at my tires you will see no snow is packed into the tread . Bruce .

Are you kidding me :eek1: . Dude , I was station in ft , bragg in 83 . NC is a nice place . Hell your not to far from Tellico . We do have it nice here but the tree huggers and hippies are always trying to close up our wheeling areas :( . I'm going back up this weekend and checking out some other trails :p: .

there's a slim possibility of sunday - but i don't think i've got the money for the fuel. :( it's pretty doubtful - my weekend filled up unexpectedly.
