Is anyone aware of places to wheel in NW FL or Southern Alabama? I am getting tired of just being able to ride on my hunting club and all of the public access land has been shut down due to irresponsible careless hicks! Any suggestions would be great!;)

Withlacoochee National Forest.....I think that's how you spell it. 50k acres of trails.

Going to Ray City, GA in a week and half at Possum Creek OHV park....a couple hours from NW FL.

If you're willing to travel there's a park in Al called Boggs & Boulders, it's about 1.5 hrs north of Mobile.

Other than that it's pretty much just private land with permission. :doah:It was mud but some of the best wheeling I've ever done was in Pensacola @ Jones' Swamp (officially closed now but I think folks still go there).

I live in Pensacola and used to wheel at Jones swamp. I've been to Boggs as well but it has turned into a massive mud pit for atvs on 33s (Mainly for belligerent rednecks). Too bad they closed Jones, its a federal offense if you get caught trespassing!

There's not really any place over here to go, there are a few spots but they're not big and not really worth an hours drive. There's got to be a fair amount between Loxley and the Fl line but I don't know anybody over there.

I do a lot on the 10k acres of land on the hunting club I hunt on. But you can still only do so much when you can't explore and scout trails due to it being a pulpwood lease. Where are you located?

I'm in Mobile, the west side close to the airport.

There are a few members over your way in and around P'cola, 3 that I can think of right off. It's been a long time but occasionally we get a lot of the local members together for bbq or something, be sure to look in the regional forum every now and then.

Most definitely! Good to see some local K5 enthusiasts, ill have to keep an eye on the forums!

Just East of Pensacola from Navarre/Milton to almost Panama City there is about 250,000 acres of public access land on the Eglin AFB Range. There are thousands of miles of roads and trails for trail riding and multiple camping areas. Technically you're not supposed to venture off of the main roads or through the mud holes but I (not so much anymore due to lacking a capable vehicle), as well as hundreds if not thousand go wheeling out there all the time. You just have to go get a range pass from Jackson Guard in Niceville. I want to say it's only about $15/year for a pass.

I'm down the street from Possum Creek still haven't been down there to check it out 1 i don't want to go by my self in case i get stuck and 2 I'm in need of tires but from what I've heard its not bad.

I'm so down if its within a reasonable distance. I get jealous of all the western guys, tons of places to wheel out there.

i know its hard to find places any more i know they only let trucks in on the second weekend of each month and it should start staying warm soon i would say sometime in march or april

Some places to go.

There are a few good places to go in Albany GA some trails and a cool sand dune area. I have been to boggs and boulders, mainly trails there though. Mobile swamp which is near panama city has some pretty cool hill climbs. Bamajam farms allows full-size rigs in from time to time. Check the S.O.R.E. page on facebook or Southern Attitude Crawlers.
