Use a 4runner-Toyota's K5. Plus they look way better than any version of the S-10. I think about it every time I hit a rock or tree.

I'm running out of body parts to lose!!!!!
Seriously though, the whole truck is extremely rusty. To make it wheelable for more than another year or so I'd have to do a cab and frame swap pretty soon. I considered a full on jungle gym but after you add up all the little stuff that's WAY too much $$$ right now. I've seen a couple of rust free Toy cabs and frames for ~ $200. Lots of work but I would still have a cab, be able to run an exo and still not be near as wide as I am now, and have a much lighter vehicle in the end.
Yes, I've already considered doing an S10, but there are lots of 'em out there like that. Hell, sled_dog on the board is building one of them right now. Plus most of the club I belong to are yota fanatics so it's easy to find people who know what they're talking about and find parts.
Besides, c'mon guys, a truggy with a toy cab and all chevy parts is still a chevy right?

Well, it's either a Toy or an X-chassis and I don't have the bank account to support a full buggy build.
Besides, if it all goes down, the bed will be tube, the front will be narrowed and tubed, and the only thing 'Yota will be the cab and interior. I can already tell I'm gonna need to purchase a panty dewadder to be able to post around here anymore.

What are you actually looking for in terms of drivetrain? PM me if you don't want to give away your secrets.
I know it's hard in both of our areas but I want/need the cab and frame to be as clean as possible.

I like the yota idea, that thing would be a beast and much more off road freindly than the big blazer. I however am not really loyal to any brand and or vehicle, and I have a soft spot for yota's, I have owned 4 and my DD right now is a '93 4runner, im sure it will turn into an off road rig in a a year or so once its retired from its DD status

Mostly looking for the axles. I still need to do some research as to wether I'll need anything else.
