I went down to Hollister yesterday for a bit of wheeling with a guy I knew from work. He brought his 7 year old son and we had some fun getting a bit dirty and exploring some trails.
Here's his company car on it's first adventure off the highway.

One of the first obstacles I tried out was this mud pit. It looked simple enough and I could just hose off the mud when I'm done right?

The first time through it, I forgot to lock my front hubs in.
We hadn't been there 5 minutes, and I'm already feeling done. A crowd formed pretty quickly and someone offered me a winch line and pulled me out. Once I was out, they suggested I try it again in 4wd so I figured I had nothing to lose. Here's the result.

This guy didn't make it was far as I did, although he was able to back out of it unassisted.

Then we decided to try some lesser challenges.

I also tried this triple diamond obstacle without even knowing it was an obstacle. My friends kid agreed I could have some of my man-points back after the epic mud pit failure.
