At www.midwestoffroad.com we will be doing a spring run to silver lake, and most likely a trip to mounds as well! I hope to have the 14blt with a detriot and the new shackle flip on before then! You prob allready know that though TJ

anyone know how far silverlake is from port huron?

i only have to drive 2 1/2 to 3 hours just to the border so...

acording to mapquest, its 254 miles if you take the highway the entire way. it takes a little over 2 hours form my house, mostly state highways. it would be sweet if you could make it

I live about 30 min west of Port Huron. And I can get to Silver Lake in around 3 hrs, give or take dependiong on how fast.

I live in Dearborn Heights (Detroit Metro area).

Definitely up for a trip to the mounds but I think I'll pass on Silver Lake. It's too hard cleaning the sand out of... well, out of EVERYwhere! :eek1:

Unless I was in the sand rail... I never have a problem.
:dunno:

I didn't mean out of MY crevices, I meant out of the truck's. Sand in the axles, sand inside the bellhousing, sand, sand, sand...

Blah.

boggerless is from dearborn heights, you shouldn't be to far from him.

ive never had any problem with sand getting everywhere either. only in the cab when my feet track it in :dunno:

well your in the rust belt too just think of it as a free sand blasting of your underside, just go home and rinoline it or sonething lol.

no one with accsess to state parks for off roading should ever complane. we have NOTHING like that in canada, you can find some closed roads and some areas have a nice network or old and new logging roads but even there people are aganst us. cherish what you have.

I'm not complaining, just saying that I'd rather stick to mud than sand. All the rest of you are free to do as you please!! :thumb:

Maybe the new K5 would do better.... hmmmmm....

just wate and check out my really bad body mounts, i think i need to talk to tim about gettting some new ones.

the tube from my bumber sould be right about where the signal is, but it is not

Niiiice...

Well, at least you have some body left to mount to.

I had to put a new bed on my K10 because I almost lost an engine through a hole in the bed floor.

A Cadillac 472! :1zhelp:

The cab's not much better but a cab swap is a pain in the ass. I'd rather fab in a hydraulic clutch.
