anyone wheeled a long bed with a fiberglass shell and carpet kit very hard? i have a nice one and was thinking about putting it on my 77 id wheel mild to moderate trails and dont want to bust up the shell or worse tear bedrails just wondering how it works i would think the pickup box wouldnt flex as much as the frame but i never had anything other than a k5 with top on and k5 top is way tougher than a fiberglass shell

she will flex. if you stick to easy trails you should be cool.but anything to crazy and dent city. i had an 86 250 regular cab long bed and once i flexed it so bad the door would not open and the hood poped.:eek1: and the bed played kissy face with the pass side back of the cab.:doah:

you should be okay I had a Shell for my yellow truck for camping and it would flex with the bed just fine I would use clamps though instead of bolting it the bed that way it won't rip the bolts out of the shell
