Title pretty much sums it up, I have wheels I bought off a friend for my blazer, the original idea was to sand blast them and paint them white, I like the style a lot. I tried fitting them on over the drum brakes and they don’t fit. The inside rubs the drum before it’s fully seated. The studs barely stick through the holes. They’re 16” wheels not positive on the other dimensions. Anyway my question is does anyone know what wheels came stock on a 73-75 K5? It doesn’t have to be just those years but that’s what mine is so I want it to look correct. Anything from the 70s would probably be fine though. I want stock wheels (or recreations of stock wheels). Here’s what mine that don’t fit look like:2F8F3ADC-07FB-4BCF-9A5B-BCF2E02B248C.jpeg
Thanks in advance!

There ain't much for 16" rims that will fit and work on an older square body, the newer trucks without solid front axles have a lot of offset and their rims will hit the tie rod ends and put the tire too far in ,it'll grind against the frame rail or inner fenders..they wont work with drum brakes either,as you know now..

You can buy aftermarket rims with the right backspacing & offset, but I wasn't about to spend 400 bucks on any..

Hummer H2 rims can be modified to work, but they are not cheap around here, and you must hog out the center holes..

I have used rims off old drum brake trucks on disc brakes by using a 3/8" thick spacer,I had a set of 6 lug 15" drum brake rims and a '72 K5 with disc brakes...the lug studs had only about 5 threads showing past the rim though,I was always leery about them failing, but they never did..

They don’t have to be 16 inch rims just whatever came stock on a k5 in the 70s

The ones you have look like they have a deep backspace. Which may be why it's hitting the drum.

That link was for 15x8... I think factory ones would have been 15x7. Which they also have. But either should work depending on what your tire plans are. I'd find a stock one like in the pic and try it before you buy a set. Lol

I’ll most likely run bfg ko2s 31x10.50s. Ill definitely look into it before buying. I’d rather find some used ones and sandblast them and paint them white but we’ll see. Thanks for the help.

Those look like the ones that came on the mid 90's half tons. And they were a lot deeper in the back. So a regular set of stock steelies should work even being 15". Hope you find what you need :thumb:
