So guys u think that the best choice for new rims are 15x10 2.5 BS for the dana 60 and 14 bolt!
Okay but are the tire will be all inside? Nth out side the body?!
37x14.50 you wana run is going to be outside no matter what you do.
and 2.50-2.75" backspace is required to run on dana 60 for 15" rims for no brake clearence problems or grinding the calipers way down to make them scarry thin.
also like said if you have not ordered tires yet go 16 or 17" rim size and reg backspace of 4.25-4.50 and bolt on and go.
o.k. then if you want bolt on and go but tires will stick out the fenders a bit then get the first link i posted on summit for the 15x10 2.5" b/s then paint them your favorete color and have fun.
These are 15.5" wide TSL's on a 15x8 wheel with 2.75" BS on a Chevy D60. The tires are turned slightly but you can still tell they stick out at least 2-3" from the body (don't pay attention to the rear tires as the bedsides are dovetailed in). A 15x12 w/ 2.75" BS would make the tire stick out another 2-3" (I know the rim is 4" wider but it doesnt' make the tire stick out the full 4" because the inner bead stays in the same location and less tire bulge). Besides for how far the tires would stick out you could run into some pretty serious body contact when turning the tires.
I've ran this setup for several years with no issues. Pavement time is pretty limited but it's not unusual to run 20-30 miles on the road getting to and from, or between, trails. 78Buford has ran the same size wheels on 42x15.50's for longer than that including multiple 100+ mile non-stop trips on the highway under a 7,000 lb. truck with no issues. Neither of us notice any obvious handling or wear issues........at least to be expected on trucks with large Super Swampers and welded rear diffs.
