.......are there any extra considerations that need to be taken into account if the truck is equipped with hydroboost? I'm well aware of the bleeding procedure for the steering box itself, but do I need to do anything in particular to make sure air doesn't get trapped in the hydroboost lines?

Not that I'm aware of. All the hydroboost units, or lines i've replaced, have just been normal bleeding.

I think its AGR's website that has the proper steering box/pump bleeding proceedure for hydroboost systems. It was posted up here just a week or two ago, do a search noob.:D

Yeah, I admit I'm a noob when it comes to this whole mikanikul business. Lucky for me, I have a whole bunch of smart fellers to lean on when I need advice.

At least I know that my truck has hydroboost....... :rotfl:

Well, I did a search and all I found was a few people saying you have to pump the brakes quite often while you are turning the wheels back and forth. They were also complaining that it takes longer than normal with a hydroboost system.

Does anyone have any real-life experience to share?

I just downloaded the bleeding instructions from AGR's site. I guess I'll follow the steps they provide, and see how well it works.

HeHeHe! Prolly never happen again....

Paul, here's the thread I was talking aboot, I guess the only real info in it is the link to AGR's instructions.....

Good to see you venturing out of the Lounge lately.

I helped Ira(SanDawgk5) bleed his a while ago. It went pretty well but I think he had to do it a little more after I left his house.

I am sure he could fill you in.
