the wiper's start moving?:haha: while i a'm in the house and no key in the ignition? this has happened twice in the last month. my son think's it's a ghost. PS. i have not done anything with the wiring in two years. this is just for a laugh. i could not care less. but post you're remedie's... but it did happen

thats really weird lol but i havent noticed that if i push my wipers up,they cycle once.i dont think this has anything to do with ur lightning issue though:whistle:

DAryl, that is from that Tornado device you put on your intake last year...remember :deal:?

It has refractometry of the volt/ohm resistance band which intern affects the output of the capacitor storage system in the reserve electophotmeter memory. When a large electrical source is introduced to the proximity of the vehicular appendages, also referred to as tires, the electrical source takes the path of least resistance to the heart of the beast, otherwise referred to as the engine. The electrical source then manifests itself in the core of the power supply, and seeks an exit path, which again would be the least resistive path of electrical current flow, which as the engine regurgitates the explosive charge of current, it pukes up through the Tornado device you installed last year. If you would have left it stock, the Genuine GM trademark that was on the aircleaner would have foiled off all attempts of entry the large electrical source could have mustered.

In order to fix it, just remove the Tornado device.:grind:

How far do they move? A lightning bolt close by will induce a current in anything metal, which under ideal conditions might cause them to move slightly.
If they make a full sweep, then something is weird with your wiring.

It sounds like the wipers are not running off the ignition.
If not, and they are coasting almost past the park position, then a slight amount of induced voltage might cause them to move past park and make a full sweep.

Of course, that is assuming that we are talking about a close strike. A direct hit would cause more than just the wipers to move.
If you are getting multiple direct hits, you need to stop parking that thing in the top of that tree....

my 82 did the same thing. it was a fully loaded one lots of electrical stuff. did it randomly....

my 89 scotsdale edition never has had a problem like that

but i took out the tornado and installed the HURIPHOON..TM i was only getting 45 mpg with the tornado,i went up to 61 with the HURIPHOON.TM maybe it was the zombie's??dammit Dave, now i have to set traps....

:haha::haha::haha:it is a full sweep ,over and over and over.like i turned them on. maybe i should get rid of the experimental tire's? Interco's SMP... super monkey paw's.i could take on the soup bowl in 2wd,with an open diff.climbing out of the tree is scary though.:eek1:

did you figure out what caused it?ii keep a 1/2 inch wrench handy to disconnect the battery.{it is easier to reach than the wiring for the wiper motor when it's pouring rain}.:D

Faulty flux capaciter, because everyone knows that a bolt of lightning is capabe of producing a 1.21 jigawatt charge

If its the wiper switch in the dash, they do that when they start to go bad. If it's in the column, I dunno what's wrong with it. Maybe the flux capacitor.

it's in the column. i heard tell, the flux capaciter tester is like $1500.00?i think an old truck driver told me,i could use a potato with two wire's{one on each side of the FC}.if the potato starts to cook, the FC is still good. anyone else hear this??
