I finally ripped out the interior of my blazer. And the previous owner said the low beams do not work only the high beams. My question is where are the low beams located (Or how do you go from high to low beams I feel really stupid for asking this question lol). I’m used to a switch on the floor, mine is a 1985 and does not have a button on the floor. Is it on the steering column with a turn signal switch is that what turns them on and hi/low. Because that’s not working. turn signals work the windshield wiper works but it does not adjust high to low beams. I need a starting point lol.

the Hi/low switch is on the column left side right about where the plastic sleeve stops. Remove the lower middle part of knee bolster, 6 or seven screws if the 1 for the a/c duct is there.
there is a rod that goes from the turn signal stock to the switch on the column. Do you feel a click when you pull the t/s stock toward the steering wheel ??

Also the head light harness could be suspect, esp the ground side.

Make sure both bulbs work before you go to to much trouble use jumper wires and hook the bulb straight to the battery.

I hear no click When I move the turn signal lever toward the driver. It does not click at all. Would you happen to know what part i need replaced for this for the name of it. I also noticed I do not have any hazards. It looks like there’s something on the right side of the column but it’s bust it off.

turn signal switch pull/pull on/off

switch piggy backs on top of the ignition switch and can work loose a bit or if someone gets crazy the rod can pop out .

What part number is this rod your talking about below? I have no clicking sound on my turn signal lever.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you click the turn signal lever towards you (the driver) shouldn't that kick on the high beams? That's how it is in my 2002 Astro. IIRC, if it doesn't kick the high beams on or off, then that cam or switch is bad. I just don't see it on that listing or on Rock Auto.

No this is from the shop manual

Is it the right year?

I want to say 1985 is the year they switched a few things around, to include the dimmer and wiper controls. When they did that the column itself changed somewhat IIRC.

you need to investigate the reason you have no clicking. There is a small amount of adjustment at the switch end. It could be that the switch is to close and there isn't enough travel. Or the someone didn't get it together correctly and the rod isn't in the switch, or the actuator end.
could be the t/s stock boss is cracked and the rod feel out. It is made from plastic. The hazard knob uses a small screw to attach to the turn signal switch, if it is missing new pieces will need to be sourced. Make sure the threads for the knob on the t/s switch side are in good shape if the boss is split you will need a new turn signal switch as well.
