Where can I buy autoCAD online?

For help with SolidWorks, if you search online enough, usually you can find a link to a college class going on somewhere in the world. I'm talking about a site which a prof. would put up to hand out homework assignments and such. Usually the prof. will hand out tutorials as well through the website.

If you want to pay, the books, also available through journeyed.com have good tutorials. The key to learning any CAD program is to not fight the program. Learn how to do it there way, don't try to make up your own way.

SolidWorks is so easy, as easy as using PowerPoint or a hot glue gun. Just point and shoot, and remember where the undue button is.

Dont tell my boss that, I'm designing nuclear saftey class equipment on a high school diploma /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Taught myself Microstation, AutoCAD, and Inventor. Best way to learn it is to have someone knowledgable you can ask questions.

your dollar is doing extremely lousy since Bush was elected

assuming inflation is in-check, the dollar going up or down relative to foriegn currencys is no big deal. Happens to all currencies all the time. If it goes one way, imports from "country x" are cheaper... if it goes the other way, imports from "x" are more expensive. blah blah blah, whatever. The key here is that the US economy is rolling right now, economists are already starting to say things like "best in 20 years" when talking about the rest of this year and the 1st half of next year. BTW, anyone know who was pres 20 years ago? thats right, Reagan... and what did Reagan do? thats right, cut taxes.

die leftists.

I'm self taught with AutoCAD and SolidWork. If you want to learn something there are many books and sites that can help you learn. If you know what your doing in each software you can design anything you want. Somethings are easier in one than the other and then visa versa. I've talked with many people that are in the design industry and you'll find people that swear by the program that they use the most. I have freinds that swear by everything from AutoCAD, SolidWork, Pro-E. Autodesk makes Inventer which is a 3-d Modeling Software like Solidwork.

I taught myself 3d max. If u want you can sketch me some pics and ill make it for you. Its really hard starting out but yes if you want to do it yourself the best way to get started is books(boring) or tutorials that the programs come with. 3d max is a autocad based program that retails at 3k+. These prgms arent cheap. Check download.com

woah! thanks... if I get either one I will be buying books or searching the internet! /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

I won a copy of Autodesk Inventor 8 from VICA Nationals, and I'm thinking of selling it. Not like I have a computer to run it... /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif Anyway, we use MasterCAM 9.1 at school, and it takes a long time to learn how to do any descent solids on it. Definitely an industrial program, but does well at drafting. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

is autodesk inverntor 8 the newest version? How much would you sell it for? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

8 is new. On Ebay they're going for between 350-2500. I think I'll put it on there for sale. I'm not a member here, and I don't want to put sales in the garage. My email is [email protected] . I can get ahold of you if you're interested...
