Where can I buy new '4x4' CAPS for auto locking hubs (not the entire sleeve)?

I'm not talking about the entire assembly shown below that's one-piece with the 4x4 emblem and the sleeve with the 6 holes for lugs. I'm talking about just the small 3" (or so) cap with the 4x4 emblem on it that covers the front auto locking hubs and is put on with small torx screws. It seems like everyone sells the complete plastic assembly (below) but no one has just the cap. Does anybody sell those new?

4x4 caps

I have two from my '71 that I just threw away because I wouldn't need them. I will take pics of them if you like and you are welcome to have them. Let me know (PM me), I will send you pics.

I think LMC sells them, ive never seen one that wasnt all faded out.

I was gonna sk how you have them if you threw them away but apparently reading comprehensin owns me :doah:

I have 2 i think also. I'll have to look if you don't get any other replys.

Huh, wouldn't have figured them to still be available:

GM PART # 474304
CATEGORY: All
PACK QTY: 1
CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $32.85
OUR PRICE: $20.14

Two things: A) if you have caps on your hubs, you are wrong. B) if A is correct, spend money for caps on manual hubs instead. :)

Oh, and C) those "hubcaps" aren't plastic, they are chrome plated pot metal, with some sort of opaque paint over most of the surface.

all the ones i have seen with auto hubs are open hole with 4x4 emblem on auto hub.

i think the only one you might get them on is 203 full time drive slug style.

Yeah, I forgot all about that...rear is the only one that uses that emblem. Let me look up the front hub and see if they list it there.

Good catch, appreciate it, would have hated to steer the OP incorrect. However, I still say get manual hubs. :)

14039200 is the part number for the front hub "sticker", but GMPD says not available. You might call a dealership and if they have a good parts guy, can check to see if it's been superseded.

Good deal. Thanks guys, I'll check on that. Mine are faded really bad and it's hard to even see the 4x4 emblem. I know, I know, manual hubs are king and auto locking hubs are garbage, however I do appreciate having auto hubs when it's pouring the rain.

Randy, if you have two of them I would be interested in seeing some pics and possibly making you an offer. Fishinnutt didn't have what I was looking for. He actually had the entire center cap assembly with the lug holes and everything (pictured in my original post). I wonder why they quit making these things. Before searching for these I was guessing that every vendor under the sun would carry them.

Oh thats what i got. They can be removed right?? :dunno: Maybe a heat gun and try not to distort the color??

Never really tried but why wouldn't you just want a whole new thing unless yours are in EXCELLENT condition. If mine were decent (haven't looked at them for awhile) I'd just send em your way no charge ;)
