from your sig it says 77 k5. this opens a lot of stuff up, im a fan of diy4x4 (diy4x.com) which has amazing stuff people will swear by. if you registered you could search which i thought was dumb, bought my membership today and it really is worth every single penny.

Welll its for a 77 K5 , like it says in my sig.

Whats are you talking about? I registered like 6 months ago...? See under my name where it says MEMBER ? And I DID search , I didnt find or see anything I liked.

most Winch bumpers are really pricey, If you find a cheap one let me know.

I am gonna wait till spring when I get a Welder and go from there, maybe make a tubing bender. IDK

yeah sry bout that i was in such a dazed mood i couldn't even think... for cheap the only thing i could suggest is find one used locally or weld one up yourself.

Make your own = about $250.00 Bucks

If ya think Kert's are expensive, you should see the "real" ones ... god, you can pay a coupla grand for a Reunel or one of those other (nice I'm sure, but not my style) cow-catchers.

Anyway, buy a welder and do it yourself, or find someone local with a welder who'll do it cheap. Heck, for the fun of making sparks and playing with fire, *I'd* do it cheap if you were local =))

Anyway, more seriously... this is what I did, at home, with a minimum of toolage (i.e. welder and torch, but no plasma cutter or lathe or mill or anything exotic.)

x2 on make one or get one made

Mine was made by a local, az-k5 in Phoenix , real stout too , beat the hell out of it and it asks for more . He went truggy and I swooped up on his bumpers :pimp:

Yep, if you have any fab skills and tools build your own. It is pricey to pay someone to build them for you.

I bought my first one. It was a Warn Classic like pictured above but I beat it up pretty quick and then built my own. It lasted pretty well for a few seasons, then I tubed the frontend out and recessed the winch back to the radiator. The winch is mounted to a cradle that is welded to the frame.

there is a ton of threads on winch bumpers, do a search on "winch bumpers" and you will find alot of info.

does that price include getting Chromed. Cause I can get one made by WARN but the Chrome Is pretty messed up

Yeah I say "about $250" cause it's been about seven years since i got err dipped.

LIke others have stated, ton o threads on this topic.

Also, I would go to a fab shop and have them build you one specific for your truck or learn to make one. Its easier than getting a cookie cutter one from some manufactor that may or may not fit. Also its easier to build something on the truck than to make something fit the truck. Trust me on this. I ordered some front and rear bumpers from a company I refuse to name and it was the biggest abortion ever. From poor customer service to extended shipping times (was suppose to be one month took 5) and too poor fitmit of the bumpers.

Anyways, they ended up working out, but only due to my local fab shop making them fit.

Kert (DIY4X) built my set for less than what my local fab shop wanted for just a front bumper.

I'm about to start my front bumper build and i really like the design of this bumper but without the grill guard. What is the distance from the front of the bumper in the center to the valance panel? Also do the shackle lugs go all the way through the frame and are part of the bumper bracket?

Col_Sanders, Nice Truck. I like them Sliders you got on there, did you have DIY4X build those for you to?

badmix, I like the bumpers you got on your truck, what did it cost you to have them done, if you dont mind my asking? Also what size tire are you running on your truck?

Badmix, forgot to ask you, what size tubing is that bumper made from.
