PM metro he posted some numbers for three shades used for wwii and the nimbers for the CUCV paint a while ago and I think Blaze (guy with the coatings) and him were working on some linner stuf in the green to.

I tried to look for his post but can't search no member yet. But some day.... :(

olive drab aint really cucv era as far as i know, but earlier. If you want the milspec stuff try rapco, otherwise im not sure..

about $100 or so. Took about a dozen cans to do the drab and another dozen for the tan for tube/interior

I just bought rattle can, that was the amount to do body, cage, bumpers, front interior/dash etc. The exterior was about $50 to do the OD

Ya might be able to find CARC paint at an Army surplus place. I have seen generic olive drab spray paint at the regular Army-Navy stores before and I've seen the actual CARC gallons at a Army surplus equipment place that sells lots of CUCVs and surplus parts (last time I was there they had about 100 37" hummer tires, several CUCVs, a couple deuce and a halfs, and a Gama goat!). I don't know how nasty the CARC is to apply but, seems like once it's on it's pretty dang durable.

used about 10 cans on mine. didn't even paint the roof :doah:

as already said. Walmart sells it. I also didn't do the door jambs or anything. JUST the outside. Never got around to finishing it :doah:

The start

and the almost finished. Painted the wheels also

I just painted the whole lower 1/2 of my K5. I used 2 Cans per side and a lil over 1 can for the back.

So 5.5 cans for the lower 1/2, so I could see how 10 cans would cover the whole truck.

Years ago we used to buy olive, oil base house paint thin it 2-1 with thinner and add 1/4 cup of Johnsons baby powder pr gal. shake well and spray.

rapcoparts.com is where I got mine. thinned with some xylene and then sprayed it on with a cheap spray gun.

on mine i just rattle canned it with the exact name of the paint was something like rustoleum camoflauge olive drab the truck is this one

it was only like 5 bucks a can and i think e might have used like $50 worth plus easy to touch up
