I found a couple of unconnected items on my engine today. I looked at my "spare" '89 engine and they were disconnected there too. Are these supposed to connect to something?

Vacuum line in the EGR/MAP sensor area:

The pics are from the "spare" engine (it is easier to take pics of) so disregard anything else that looks funny. This engine is sitting on an engine stand in my garage, but the disconnected items are the same on my '91 Blazer.

Not sure about the first one but the second pic i can help. There is nothing hooked up to that on my '94 or my dad's '95. Not sure exactly what it's for but apparently it's not necessary :dunno:

If i had a flashlight i'd check on the first one for ya. i'll check tomorrow if you don't get an answer

The first pic the wire is the tach wire and the tube should go to a valve cover, maybe PCV valve. The double plastic tubes are the cruise control module and not sure without looking at mine where they go, but it is dark out and I'm afraid of the dark.
Second pic is the EGR solenoid and that is the breather vent and it should have a piece of foam filter on it.

OK, tach and breather. Thanks guys, that is what I was looking for. I have no tach and apparently I am only missing a little piece of foam on the breather.

I don't have Cruise set up on my project truck, but I do have the line from the driver's side valve cover to the air filter collar hooked up on that one.

Any chance you want to sell that Cruise Controll vacume actuator? I got a tear in mine...
