I have a 91 burb w/350 TBI and it overheating. We narrowed it down to the intake or head gaskets being put on wrong. Can you even put a head gasket on wrong and is there a way of telling if the fluid is being stopped at the intake gaskets or is it being stopped at the head gaskets?

Head gaskets can be put on wrong... I don't know if it will affect the flow or not though. At this point I wouldn't even mess around and I would take off the heads and gaskets and the manifold and gaskets and check to see if any coolant holes in the block are being restricted by the gaskets.

From reading your other post, SOMETHING is inhibiting the flow and the trial and error process of repair can seriously damage your engine if it continues to overheat.

well since you had it all apart apparently.....you did put the t-stat in the right way didnt you? And the t-stat is functioning properly?

Conventional SBC head gaskets can go on either way. They are completely symetrical in every way.
