The interior of my 98 has a bit of a funk to it that I cant seem to locate and I hear that there is an air filter somewhere in the HVAC system, but I dont know exactly where. Anyone know?

I dont think our this bodystyle has one, I have never heard of there being one in mine? Maybe Ill go post up over at FSC and see what those idiots have to say

there is no cabin air filter on them....

I'm not even sure the new ones have them. A lot less things have cabin air filters than people think. Of all the cars that Mitsubishi presently produces, the only ones that have Cabin air filters are the Lancers, and the Outlanders.

The autostore has some junk you can spray through your system to clear up the odor. I know mine could sure use a good cleaning.......

It you don't have it, the filter housing cover will be all one piece and not removable.

Well I just had this kick panel off to replace my heater core :angry1: so if my truck does in fact have this filter, it aint gettin changed. I think the smell is from the coolant soaked carpet and padding.
