Where to find VIN on burb?

Where can I find the VIN besides the normal dash tag on a '96ish burb. It's a burned 3/4 ton Vortec BBC (I think) 88-98 body style.

not sure on the '96, but i saw one in the passenger side frame rail, about middway forward of rear passenger doors on a '91 i recently parted and scrapped out.

VIN? Don't think they ever stamped those on the block. But i could be wrong.

my vin on my 78 350 was stamped on the r/s deck along with production information it was done on some models I learned about some info from chev parts interchange manual perchased at advanced auto parts

sometimes they have lil stickers on all seperate panels, or you can go into the computer with a scanner, not sure where else.
