where to get a hinge for a swing out tire carrier

Rockstomper sells them for about $45 but I would check a trailer supply place. It is just a 1000# or 2000# trailer axle spindle. Prolly cheaper buying direct.

I'm building mine out of a 10 bolt hub and spindle to try and avoid the failure these 1000 lb trailer spindles are having pluse its an easy way to store trail spares

I'm going to pull my tire carrier off of my 89 if you want to buy it. It has a swing arm on it that bolts to the side of the trucks, swings away to open the tailgate.

I'm going to pull it off within the next couple of weeks and post it for sale.

If a trailer hub/spindle is all you need,there is a place ner me that sells them reasonable-- "Slip's Capeway Marine" on RT 44 in Raynham(Ph# 508-821-9100..or 508-822-6948)..They sell shackles and spring s,U-bolts and plates for trailers too....you could get one from Northern tool via UPS too,if your not close to raynham..or just about any trailer/ camper place nearby..
