ok it looks like i`m goin to have to do some metal work soon because the top of my seat is at almost a 45*....:eek1:....the pass. seat is moving around in the floor and have to do a couple patches on the front bottom of both quarters and new rockers.....so where is the best/cheapest place to get all this metal?

Pass on the LMC, if you wanna go the cheapest route then yes try LMC, but you get what you pay for.

I just put new rockers in mine, got brand new GM's, they are pricey, but like I was pointed out, they lasted 30 years on mine, so the little extra money isn't bad considering the amount of work you put into them. The aftermarket are about 1/2 as thick I am told. Doors and fenders you can get from goodmark. To me it's better to pay a little more and get a better quality product to do it once, than to get cheaper thinner stuff that rots out sooner and you end up paying the money in the end anyways. JMO

what about JCW???? is the basic price for a floor pan about 100?

best??--or cheap??..

The best and cheapest place to get metal is at a scrapyard,or the metal pile at a landfill...plenty of old washing machines, refridgerators, hot water tanks, furnaces ducting,,and other metal encased appliances there..most have epoxy paint on them already too!...(or are galvanized)..:D

I will be ordering new floor boards in two weeks and right now ChevyDuty is my #1 choice...

I am pretty sure Jc Whitney and LMC get their stuff from the same place i.e. I have ordered from both and all the parts looked exactly the same same thickness type of primer etc.

id go local. we have a local veng dealer and keystone around here that can get you direct replacements or i went to autobody specialties in middlefield which had what i needed and cheeeap.

where would be the best place to get floor pans?

I understand their stuff is not OEM. They are a cheaper quality. (probably about the same as LMC's cheaper brand)

I haven't look into them for the pan. I am getting inner fenders for my junk. (They listed at $17.00 ea for the inners)

well today i picked up some rockers at the car show/meet and was gonna get floor pans but no one had them......so i was just gonna use sheet metal and my buddys dad said to just pull the seats and check it out....so i pulled the pass. side seat when i got home from work to find out all i need to do is weld in a little patch for the f/r mount...but i think the drivers side needs alot mor metal....now i just need to talk my buddys dad into getting it all done:D

Yeah, why is it that the driver side of my truck has more rust than the passenger side?
