Where to get floor supports

Hello,
Me and a buddy are building up his '79 GMC. We are also building up my 1986 K5 Blazer. His main floor supports on his truck are GONE. Have any of you ran into this? Where should I look to replace these? Should I just weld up some 2x3" square stock?
