Hello all,

Anyone know where I can get an OEM driver's seat belt for my 1990 K5. So far it looks like the junk yard or an aftermaket 'universal' belt. I'm not thrilled with either option. I assume the dealer doesn't carry these parts any more but I still have to verify this. I checked LMC and I only saw the univeral lap belts.

Thanks,

We went through this before...so far no one has reproduced them. :(

The dealer may have them, but if the parts guy can't give you a part number, he's lying. Most parts guys anymore aren't worth a darn apparently, but if you find a good one, he should at LEAST be able to give you a part number. I suspect GM has disco'd them. Usually on parts like this you can only get one color, IF they still have them in stock.

couple yrs ago when I was looking they only had a couple of the burgundy ones and a few blues left. I got mine from julianos.com and they arent exact to the stockers, but they bolted right in, fit real good, blah blah blah. I was happy.

I recently bought some belts for the crew cab. Not OEM.

Auto parts warehouse or some such. Found it searching the net high and low. Retractable 3 point. Seem to be a decent product.

I confirmed that GM doesn't have any that fit the 1990 Blazers. I would like a direct bolt in so I guess I start searching junk yards.

Thanks all.

I tossed my stock ones because they kept poping open on the trails, went with SPARCO's

Pretty inexpensive IMO at $90, and they may be a bolt in, but the colors look wrong (they certainly are since there were various shades of each color through the years) and the retractor mechanism is black, which its not on the stock ones.

Can't ask for too much since they are repro, it's too bad someone doesn't just rebuild the stock stuff.

I'd bought the ones from that ssnakeoyle site posted before. I paid $85.00 (ouch).. and had to drill out the mounting holes to fit the K5's hardware. They work fine now.
lmctruck's probably overwhelmed with new orders since they're a new item in their catalogs.
