PO threw away the second reserve tank, the other is still in there. I not only like having the fuel capacity, I am not fond of the big hole on the other side where the filler was. Are these available aftermarket and if so how much $$$?

Otherwise I'm just going to have to find something to cap the hole with and it will look half ass.

Did you try JC Whitney? I know they had both metal and plastic tanks, don't know about reserves though.

Looked in Whitney's and LMC, nothing on reserves. It's one of those that sits over the wheel well, I think 13 gallons ea. Hell I just thought about that, I'd be packin over 50 gal., holy crap!

Maybe I don't want that after all, wonder how much 50 gal weighs? (Or better yet, the extra 13)

Maybe I can just get a filler cap and put it there to at least fill that hole.

My first K5 was a 72. I bought a rusted out 78 K20 for a donor vehicle. I swapped over the axle, engine, tranny/t-case, and the saddle tanks. So yes, I had 3 gas tanks on that one.

gas weighs pretty close to 6.3 lbs per gallon so at 13 gallons your looking at roughtly 82 lbs.

I have two inside aux tanks that were installed in my 72 when I got it. They mount in the inside fenderwell and exit on the rear q panel. One is steel and one is aluminum one is for the left and one is for the right if your interested. thanx Nick

I might be interested, looked this weekend for a suitable solution (other than welding) for that hole in panel. PM sent.

You guys can have them for $75 each or $130 for the pair plus shipping.
Rather sell both so if someone wants them both they'll get first crack.
Thanx Nick
