i have a 1993 gmc 1500 suburban and my front differential is shot. So I am needing a new one, or a rebuilt one. I thought about snagging one out of a junk yard, and then again you really don't know what shape it is in either. i would hate to install it only to have it crap out a few months down the road. So i think rebuilt is the way I would like to go.
only issue is that the shops around here are wanting $2400 to rebuild mine, $1000 just to do a bearing job... that seems way to spendy for my wallet. I have been trying to search online for a rebuilt one but am not comming up with anything. Can any of you point me to a web site? thanks..

doing it yourself completely out of the question?

yeah if it was a solid axle i would do it no problem, but being a IFS and I have never done one, and the fact I don't really have a place to do it, im a little hesitant to even attempt.
