where to start cuts for trimming using steves fox\'s template

Anyway i measured from where the string is inserted in this pic to the door jam, and it looked like 5 inches because that little white lip on the bottom that the string is stuck into is about 3/4 inches thick, so i layed that sideways and measured from the door jam to the string in photo shop and got 6 1/2 times or 5 inches.

Steve if you are reading this and have measurements that would be great! or if anyone else knows please speak up /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I started at 5 3/4" for the the door line. I tried to figure it out when I did mine also.

alot of people like mine, I didn't have to trim the rear at all though "2.5 back spacing" and it left the top lip on the fender /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

p.s. have some one hold the fender or aplly pressure to keep the sawzaw from jumping around on ya and distorting the sheet metal /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Here are some pics................
from CK5

There are a few that show the fenders. They have a straight cut, I think one pic looks like the cut is curved, but it is the angle that the pic was taken. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

If I remember right, it was around 5 or 6 inches from the door end, it is about 1 inch right now so I can't measure of course.
