I will be picking up a 87 K5 Silverado which has been parked for afew years and my buddy will haul it for me on his trailer to my place. All my buddy is asking in return for the haul is some diesel in his tank,...the haul is only 10 miles. The Blazer has been parked due to tranny problems when it became high centered and it had to be towed out of the mtns. How do I make a determination of whether to pull and rebuild or put in a new tranny? Any answers or suggestions will be helpful.
*Paid off the Blazer and went up and placed a hornet trap in case there's a unseen nest somewhere. My buddy that will be helping load and haul my rig is allergic to bee stings,...so I best make sure he don't get stung in the process,...plus myself. Just abit anxious to get a snoopin' under the hood and rig itself to diagnose the tranny problem.
