So where do you guys buy your tires? I am getting kinda towards the end of my build hahah not! but i am getting closer to buying tires to go play. looking at 40" catagory... Doesnt half to be that exact size...

I play in the Mud, and trails. Missouri Wheeling. i dont mind buying new rims, i currently have 16"-10" wide. I will drive on the road once in a while but not as a DD. You know just the Fun days.:waytogo:

kinda wish they still made ground hawgs... but what else is out there?

ive heard a lot of good things about the pit bull tires.dont know where they would be sold at a good price though.pretty sure theyd have them in 16 inch rim range so you can use what you got.tire rack is a good place.they usually have deals, but shipping might kill the deal.what kind of tire you like to run?the tsls to good in mud and everyone seems to love them.expensive as all hell those 40s will be,but thats any brand that large.

I've looked at Discount Tire Direct before. Good prices and they include shipping. When I was comparing prices vs Tire Rack I would take TRs price + shipping and they would be within a couple dollars of DTD. Sometimes DTD would be cheaper, sometimes TR was cheaper. At the time I was pricing/comparing Goodyear MTRs and BFG KM2s.

I ended up buying from a local wholesale supplier who beat both of their prices and delivered them to work. I work at a car dealership so I have some connections in that respect. I only saved about 30-40 bucks in the end so it wasn't a super deal or anything.

Go to desert rat.com. get a quote and take it to 4 wheel parts. They will price match. Then get the warranty.

This here seems to be the new way to go for mail order if you're looking for big meats. I got my Goodyear duratracs from our supplier at work, way the same price as tire rack w/ the shipping.

And I wouldnt go with pitbulls if you mud. Honestly if you're only doing a sub 25mile trip to the trail you cant beat boggers offroad.

Craigslist.

I bought 5 nearly new BFG Mud Terrains on aluminum wheels for $250. Have cash and check the site daily even hourly...the good stuff moves fast.

Just watch the deals. There always seems to be someone selling at different times.

This is what I got, How about 5, 39.5 iroks for $600

2 new rims, 2 new tires, 3 used rims in good shape, and 3 tires about 70%

I couldn't afford off roading without CL.

Yea well in my area there isnt that much "off roaders" just alot of guys that think 35" is the biggest tire any truck should ever see...

but with that said yes i check CR every day. thought about boggers, but i still like to be able to drive on the street on nice days or just if im in that mood. maybe i should just get some street style tire and AG tires for the mud....

Crap, I just realized where you are.

I bought some tires from 4wheel parts once for the. Buy 3 deal get one free. After the math it was cheaper than other places.

My PBR's came direct from PB, but over the years I have bought several different sets from tirepackage.com with great results.

After calling all the local tire stores and looking on the web I ended up buying from 4X4 Groupbuy dot com. In my phone n can't post a link. Even with shipping it was over $200 cheaper than anything around here.
