Give them this part number E5TZ-18183-A and they should give you the right one. I think I paid 11.50 a piece. Just give them that part number and they can't screw it up.

I used the same one as Esteban, it earned me an extra five inches of shock.

I tried to get a set last week and the dealer said they couldn't get them. No longer available. Looks like I got to go junk yarding.

I know Richard(Chvyhs) just did his less than 3 weeks ago. And I'm pretty sure he got them from the dealer. I got mine about 4 months ago and they had to order one. Maybe different dealers have different access. I'll check my local dealer on Tuesday if someone wants me too.

Yup, it's able to mount on either side.

I went friday to order some and they said they where for a 85 f-250, not that it matters. He said that if the local wharehouse had them it would be monday, if they had to get them from some main one it would be a couple of days. He quoted me 12.30 a piece and didn't mention any problems with getting them. I'll let you guys know how this turns out.

hey grim, i would try another dealer
i wanted a bushing for the steering column at the firewall, and the dealer near me said no longer available, said i had to buy the entire $140 assembly and i called another dealer across town, and he said he would get it for me the next day, and he did. a good counter guy is invaluable
good luck
chris

Just letting everyone know that I got mine in to day like they said. No problem getting them at all. Just like someone else said, make sure you give them that exact part number.

Yes, I was the buddy who called for a price, I didnt give the part number (i was a work) But i did say they were from a 1980 f250. Dude said 91 bucks a piece and i almost crapped my pants. Ill try again with the part number and see what happens.

Esteban's part number is the correct one. I've got a pair of the brackets sitting right here and I just double-checked the labels.

The parts guy here was surprised at how cheap they were once he saw what they were!

Full retail on them is only around $15 each. (Unless the boys at Ford have found out how popular they are, and have decided that selling Ford parts to GM owners is a great way to stop the huge financial losses that they've been suffering lately).

Kind of a badass mod for only 30 bucks plus shocks...(or in my case 182 bucks...)

Just did mine saturday. Took about an hour per side not counting running to tractor supply 3 times for bolts. That's using air tools.
