i got 6" of lift on my truck, and have some vibes....i'm thinking of doing away with my slip yoke i currently have...

where ya'll get these at anyways? and dont you have to have something to mount the cv to? like a crossmember?

its a 85 swb, 350/4spd

You can get a slip yoke CV setup, or convert to fixed yoke output and run one off of that. You are sort of talking about a carrier bearing, CV combo I think. Which would be too long for your short wheelbase setup I think.

www.highangledriveline.com is a great place to get driveshafts.

I've been told that you can get the CV part from a -70s Cadillac??

the cadillac c/v's do fit but the c/v's are not what i concider good for a couple reasons- the slip yoke is vented and will leak- okay weld the hole and hope it does not leak- and the c/v center kit is not good for more then 15 degree's in my opinion i quite building the 3r style c/v's about 7 years ago for 4 wd stuff because they sucked- and one more thing to think about the caddy slip yokes are not splined all the way down and should be in a 4 wd application with more travel- Jess
