...the D70HD rear disc brakes by Blackbirds?

I just read it the other day and now can't find it.

Nothing?

Someone posted a pic of the rear disc setup for a DRW rearend and the rotor was a DEEP hat type, much deeper than the front rotors everyone uses on the SRW 14FF's.

i got kert's on my 70HD... ?

I used 77 calipers and rotors...
Had to have the caliper bracket welded in place, as teh drw axle puts the bolt on part too far out of place...

i can snap a pic of mine this weekend if you want???

I dont think so...

i tried running the dually wheels and they hit the caliper... but they were only a 16 inch dually wheel...
My H1's fit just fine, but there 'square' where the dually wheels are dished ion/out...

For discs on the DRW, you just end up welding on a bracket that looks like the brake bracket all ready on the axle, only about 4 inches further towards the spindle... then bolt your caliper bracket to this welded on bracket.

Not sure if this helps but I found this - http://www.blackbirdscustomtrucks.com/index7.html#8dually

I believe Ford D44 rotors are deeper than the typical Chevy version, maybe try those.

Assuming you're custom placing your backing plate flanges, could you use rotors from an application with rear disc AND a brake shoe style parking braking? This type of rotor should be pretty deep. Seems like the only concern would be the diameter of the rotor fitting the bracket.

If it gets to this I can compare 78 3/4 to 07 3/4 rotors.

Nope, not it.

The pic I saw was an actual deep hat rotor, that was like 3" to 4" deep. No spacers or anything. It was a true deep rotor.

Dammit! I just saw a thread and info about this specific rotor somewhere. I've already searched and can't find anything.
